President Donald Trump threw down the gauntlet in the fight against terrorism in his inaugural address Friday, pledging to “eradicate” “radical Islamic terrorism” from the world.

“We will reinforce old alliances and form new ones - and unite the civilized world against radical Islamic terrorism, which we will eradicate completely from the face of the Earth,” Mr. Trump said.

Mr. Trump and other Republicans have criticized former President Obama for declining to use the specific phrase “radical Islamic terrorism” in the context of the fight against terrorist groups like the Islamic State, also known by the acronyms ISIS or ISIL.

  1. While I support his goal. The problem is there is no difference between Radical Islam and Islam. If a Muslim believes the holy texts, the Qur'an, the Tawrat, the Injeel, and the Zabur. Then they believe in the goals and methods used by what the uninformed call "Radical Islam." They may choose not to participate, but they support the methods and goals. And if they are followers, then they are taught it is acceptable to lie to us infidels and say they do not support "Radical Islam," when they do.

  2. During Ike's first campaign for president when asked how he would deal with North Korea all he said was "I will go to Korea." Negotiations started before he took office.
