ABC reports "Hillary Clinton's death"

Via comment by Sioux on VINDICATED Former Huffington Post Writer: We Are B...

Presumably they're going to have a tough time explaining her reappearance yesterday. Second coming or body double? But the image below was briefly up on the ABC News website. Hoax, hacking, contingency preparation or Joe Biden's wishful thinking? Who knows.

The best thing that could happen during this presidential election is happening.  Once and for all, the press is being outed as the traitorous bunch of clowns we have always known they were.  Their absolute devotion to anyone not named Trump is driving them into increasingly ridiculous and contemptible positions concerning Hillary Clinton, her crimes and her rapidly declining health.  Their only hope is to push the corpse across the finish line of the election and rally around Tim Kaine.

But, millenials are, for all of the bad press about their addiction to video games and their devotion to smoking dope, are growing concerned that the emperoress has no clothes, despite the fawning description of the beautiful attire. Never before has reality so closely reflected a fairy tale as the blind, deaf and dumb press corps accommodatingly ignoring the obvious flaws of a pre-ordained head of state.  There is always an excuse for a Clinton, always a nuanced explanation that is offered and eagerly consumed by the press.

It depends on what the definition of "heat" is.

Two Alabama Medal of Honor recipients are among 14 endorsing Donald Trump's bid for the presidency.

Retired Army Command Sergeant Major Bennie Adkins of Opelika and retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Leo Thorsness of Madison added their names to the list of those backing the Republican presidential nominee.

"It is a tremendous honor to have the support of these 14 heroes who bravely fought to defend America and rid the world of tyranny," Trump said. "These soldiers are the personification of courage under fire; they are the best of us all.

"I thank each of these Medal of Honor recipients for their faith in me to serve as our next president and commander-in-chief," he added.

Gary Palmer has 'serious doubts' Hillary Clinton has pneumonia

Via Billy

Gary Palmer

Rep. Gary Palmer, R-Hoover, said Monday he had "serious doubts" about whether Democratic presidential Hillary Clinton has pneumonia because her staff didn't release the status of her condition sooner.

Clinton's health has become an issue after the former secretary of state left a Sept. 11 tribute early and video emerged of her being assisted into a waiting SUV and appearing to have trouble walking. The campaign said Clinton was battling pneumonia. Health concerns crept up earlier on social media after observers pointed out Clinton's coughing fits.

"I've got serious doubts as to whether or not it's pneumonia," Palmer told Matt Murphy during an appearance on his radio show (Buzzfeed has a clip of the exchange here.) "But I can't say. I mean, if it, in my opinion, just my observation, if it were pneumonia, I would've thought they would've come out and said that very early on. You know, she's disappeared for a few days and if I'd been her adviser, I would've said, 'You need to get out there and let people know what's wrong with you, get treatment, get a few days' rest, get back on your feet.'"

VINDICATED Former Huffington Post Writer: We Are Being Gaslighted- Hillary’s Health is Horrific

Via Billy

In late August long-time Huffington Post writer David Seaman was fired for questioning Hillary Clinton’s health concerns.

The Huffington Post went a step further and deleted ALL of David’s previous posts.

On Sunday David Seaman posted his reaction to Hillary’s medical emergency at Ground Zero.
It turns out Dr. Drew and I lost our media perches for simply sharing incontrovertible truth, which I knew at the time: Hillary Clinton’s health is not just bad. It’s not just allergies. Hillary Clinton’s health is horrific… The New York Times is tweeting out polls that show Hillary Clinton has an 81% chance of winning the election. I’m sorry folks, that is gaslighting. It is psychological torture. When you go outside it’s clear that Hillary Clinton has not real organic support.

Confederate flags flying at the Southern 500

Via SHNV

Throwback paint schemes on racecars and retro logos and signs welcomed Nascar fans when they arrived at Darlington Raceway this weekend for the Bojangles’ Southern 500 Sprint Cup race. The marketing campaign was designed to make one of the most storied tracks on the circuit look like the early 1970s all over again.

Fans were more than happy to complete the picture, much to Nascar’s dismay. The Confederate flags they raised on R.V.s across the infield and outside the track dotted the sky above Darlington on Friday morning, as they have for decades here. The Southern 500, after all, was long known for playing “Dixie” as its anthem and used to feature a character named Johnny Reb — a man dressed as a Confederate soldier who stood atop the winning car with a rebel flag.

As those Confederate flags waved once more on Friday, Nascar faced its recurring quandary: How could a sport so closely associated with its Southern roots broaden its appeal nationally without alienating that base?

Congress Can Save the Internet

The White House will end U.S. oversight at month’s end, unless lawmakers step in.

President Obama wants this to be the last month of an open, uncensored internet guaranteed by the U.S. government. His plan to end American stewardship would hand new power to authoritarian governments offended by the internet as we know it.

The good news is it appears congressional leaders have agreed to rescue the internet in time to prevent the Sept. 30 expiration of U.S. oversight.

Report shows 1 in 3 Americans now live in a county where at least 20 percent of adults are foreign-born
In 1990, adult immigrants were hardly a factor in North Carolina’s Randolph County, making up a little more than 1 percent of all residents 18 and older.

By 2014, the adult immigration population had ballooned 948 percent. The 8,950 foreign-born adults that year were 6.1 percent of the entire county population. That is a 683 percent increase in the immigrant share of the county’s adult population.

An ill Hillary Clinton abruptly left a 9/11 anniversary ceremony Sunday and needed to be held up by three people before she appeared to stumble off a curb and was helped into a van. Several hours later, her campaign revealed she had been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday and advised to rest.

Less than two months from Election Day, it was an unwanted visual for Clinton as she tries to project the strength and vigor needed for one of the world's most demanding jobs. Republican rival Donald Trump has spent months questioning Clinton's health, saying she lacks the stamina to be president.

Tim Kaine's radical roots

Via Billy

http://www.snopes.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/kaine-muslim-brotherhood.jpg

According to the mediaTim Kaine took a life transforming "mission" trip to Latin America in 1980.

Conveniently left out of these stories, are the radical reality of the Cold War in Latin America and Tim Kaine's Soviet sympathizing mentors. In fact, whatever Kaine's intentions, he more likely met Karl Marx than Jesus Christ while there.

Connect the dots with a little history, and an alarming picture emerges of Kaine's adventures with radicals and revolutionaries in 1980s Latin America.

Reports indicate that in Honduras, “Mr. Kaine embraced an interpretation of the gospel, known as liberation theology...”

This wasn't mainstream “Catholic thought” at the time. It was a radical, Marxist-based ideology at odds with the Church, the pope, and the United States, but supportive of (and supported by) the Soviet Union.

Cokie Roberts: Dems 'Nervously Beginning to Whisper' About Hillary Stepping Aside

Via Billy

Hillary Clinton's health issues have establishment Democrats "nervously beginning to whisper" about finding a replacement for her should she need to "step aside," according to one prominent political commentator.

During an appearance on NPR’s “Morning Edition” Monday morning, ABC's Cokie Roberts said some in the party were already having discussions about such a possibility.

Asked how Democrats were reacting to Clinton's collapse at the 9/11 memorial ceremony Sunday, Roberts said that "people are angry at the lack of transparency." She added, "It was hours before the pneumonia diagnosis was revealed after seeing this incredibly damaging video of her being helped and stumbling into a van."

Unique Beauty Of Freckled People

Lond-based photographer Brock Elbank is on a journey to photograph 150 freckled people for his next exhibition in 2017. He wants to celebrate beauty and, since mid-2015, he has succeeded with 90 striking portraits.

"I’ve always loved freckles," said Elbank. "What I find interesting about individual characters that I have been fortunate enough to photograph is that many have struggled with their freckles since their infancy and either hated them, or grown to live with them or even like them in adulthood."

"One subject I shot in September for the series spent a good three to four hours with me after the portrait, talking about how they felt as a kid, bullied, rejected at school for their appearance, which really shocked me as I found this individual amazing-looking." Occidental College to investigate vandalism of 9/11 memorial

Via comment by JWMJR on Obama admin slams, Trump camp defends Netanyahu fo..."Because leftists are always such a class act."

Flags placed on the quad at Occidental College on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, by the school’s Republican Club as a memorial to the victims of the 9/11 attacks were “crushed, snapped” and thrown in the garbage by Sunday morning, the club reported on its Facebook page, where this photo of the vandalism was posted.

Occidental College is investigating reports of vandalism to a 9/11 memorial on its Eagle Rock campus.

The memorial, consisting of 2,997 tiny American flags, was put in place in the quad area Saturday night by members of the student organization the Occidental College Republican Club, with each flag representing a victim of the Sept, 11, 2001, terror attacks,

But by Sunday morning, the club reported that the memorial had been trashed. On their Facebook page, the Occidental College Republican Club said that vandals had “crushed, snapped, and threw in the garbage every single flag. Not one was left on the ground.”

The group also claimed that posters and flyers had been posted on campus that “shamed the victims of 9/11.”

The Race for President is (Probably) Over

 Via Billy

Dilbert logoDilbert character top

If you are following breaking news, Hillary Clinton abruptly left the 9-11 memorial today because she was reportedly “overheated.” Her campaign says she is fine now.

You probably wonder if the “overheated” explanation is true – and a non-issue as reported – or an indication of a larger medical condition. I’m blogging to tell you it doesn’t matter. The result is the same.

Here’s why.

If humans were rational creatures, the time and place of Clinton’s “overheating” wouldn’t matter at all. But when it comes to American psychology, there is no more powerful symbol of terrorism and fear than 9-11 . When a would-be Commander-in-Chief withers – literally – in front of our most emotional reminder of an attack on the homeland, we feel unsafe. And safety is our first priority.

Hillary Clinton just became unelectable.

Obama admin slams, Trump camp defends Netanyahu for noting “Palestinians” seek ethnic cleansing of Jews

“Prime Minister Netanyahu makes exactly the right point. The Palestinians want Israel to absorb countless ‘refugees’ – people who never lived in Israel and whose ancestors were never forced to leave Israel – while their so-called ‘state’ is required to be, as the Nazis said, Judenrein (devoid of Jews).”

Indeed so.

“Palestinians: No Settlers Allowed to Stay in Our State,” Washington Free Beacon, January 27, 2014:
“Palestinians dismissed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s suggestion that Judea and Samaria settlers should be able to remain in their homes even if they fall within a possible future Palestinian state, Israel Hayom reports.”

Defending the Southern Tradition

 south-carolina-college-1820

The Old South may indeed be a hall hung with splendid tapestries in which no one would care to live; but from them we can learn something of how to live.

Nope, as I have often stated, I should have been born about 1820 and killed during the Late Unpleasantness.

************************

History is a liberal art and one profits by studying the whole of it, including the lost causes. All of us arc under a mortal temptation to grant the accomplished fact more than we should. That the fall of Rome, the dissolution of medieval Catholicism, the overthrow of Napoleon, the destruction of the Old South were purposeful and just are conclusions that only the tough-minded will question. But such events, hammered out by soldiers and politicians, by adventurers and traders, are hardly a guide to the moral world.

They are text for the lesson, not the lesson itself, which should go beyond the waywardness of events. Behind all there must be a conception which can show the facts in something more than their temporal accidence. In this research, therefore, I have attempted to find those things in the struggle of the South which speak for something more than a particular people in a special situation. The result, it may be allowed, is not pure history, but a picture of values and sentiments coping with the forces of a revolutionary age, and though failing, hardly expiring.

The South possesses an inheritance which it has imperfectly understood and little used.

American Historians and Their 'History' - Dr. Clyde

American Historians and Their History

“Almost a lifetime of considering what historianship is, I am satisfied that what it is or should be is storytelling. Assuredly it can’t be a scientific experiment, nor a logical proposition, nor the illustration of a theory. Our existence is drama, that is, a story, taking place in the mind of God. Through history we have our only knowledge of the mysterious drama of our existence beyond what has been granted us as Revelation.

I like the delightful saying of the English historian Veronica Wedgewood: “History is not a science – it is an art, like all the other sciences.” Or more seriously, we can make the same point by calling on John Lukacs perfect definition: “History is a kind of memory, organized and supported by evidence.” With emphasis on the evidence. In asserting that history is not certainty, I don’t deny that there are varying degrees of honesty and competence in the handling of evidence that allow us to judge the quality of a historian’s work.

If history is best understood as a story, at least two things follow. First, a story – like that of the Alamo – is somebody’s story – it is not everybody’s story as is claimed by those with an agenda, whether they be nationalist ideologues or multiculturalists. Everybody can learn from a story, but if it is to be real and valid, it is some people’s story. It follows that American in our time cannot have a real history because America today does not have a real people.

There was a time, peaking in the World War II era, when the inhabitants of this vast and diverse nation-state almost mingled into one people. That opportunity is now past. The inhabitants of the United States are corralled under the same territorial monopoly of force and exploitation; they share the same bread and circuses.

They are not a people, only the motley subjects of an empire. Aggregations of Oprah watchers, sports fans, and mall shoppers do not make a people. After Augustus the story of Rome ceases to be the story of a heroic and patriotic people. The Roman people pass from sight. The history of Rome becomes only an account of more or less evil emperors and a chaos of peoples without stories. Such is American in the era of Bush. The future history of the last national election can be written only as a meaningless contest in which the jocks barely beat out the nerds for possession of the imperial palace.

Most of the work of academic historians today can portray the American story in no other terms except as an abstract fantasy of oppressors and oppressed. No society has ever had more professional historians and devoted more resources to historical work of all kinds than modern America – or produced so many useless, irrelevant, and downright pernicious products. I know a historian who teaches that the great Virginians of the American Revolution were like the Taliban. Presumably because they carried weapons and were not feminists. This is to reduce human experience to a paltry and partial perspective, to remove from it everything that is worthwhile and ennobling, usable and true. But this is what academic historians mostly do these days.

A historian should be trying to say something true and useful about human beings, and doing so modestly and cautiously. No historian can discover indisputable truth, at least not about anything important. But that is what historians are claiming to do these days by reducing the drama of human experience to abstract, supposedly universal theory.”

The Yankee Problem: An American Dilemma

 https://www.chroniclesmagazine.org/assets/1/26/Clyde_Wilson.jpg

The seemingly settled question today is that the American South withdrew from the Union because of a desire to perpetuate African slavery, and that no other issues of that period in our history ought to be considered. And beyond this settled question, Southerners who attempt any favorable motives to their ancestors are “merely repeating Lost Cause myths” to cover up their evil intent of their ancestors. The author below recommends investigating any mythology created by the winning side.
Bernhard Thuersam, www.Circa1865.com   The Great American Political Divide

The Cause of America’s New Version

“Set aside that the question of causation in history is a complex one, to say the least. Still it is true that historians of other generations, of vastly greater breadth of learning than most of today’s, ascribed other “causes” to t most critical event in American history: clash of economic interests and cultures, blundering politicians, irresponsible agitators. There is a bit of sleight-of-hand along with today’s false assumptions.

Even if slavery may have in some simplistic and abstract sense “caused” the secession of the first seven Southern States, it does not establish that it “caused” the war. The war was caused by the determination of Lincoln and his party to conquer the Southern States and destroy their legal governments.

Caused, one might say by Northern nationalism – nationalism being a combination of romantic identification with a centralized state and interest in a unitary economic market. The war, after all, consisted in the invasion and conquest of the South by the U.S. government. A very simple fact that most Americans, it would seem, are unable to process, along with the plain fact that Northern soldiers did not make war for the purpose of freeing black people.

One of Lincoln’s many deceptions was the claim that the Founders had intended to abolish slavery but had not quite got around to it. The Southerners of his time, were rebelling against the true Founding by insisting on non-interference, while he and his party were upholding the settled understanding of the Founders.

James McPherson, perhaps the “leading” historian of today in regard to the Great Unpleasantness and no Southern apologist, along with many others, points out that it was the North that had changed by 1860, while the South had remained attached to the original concept of the Union.

Now one may be glad, as McPherson is, that the North changed and triumphed with a new version of America, but to deny which side was revolutionary is merely dishonest.

Historians have devoted vast attention to the South, feeling it was necessary to explain where the South went wrong, find the source of the perversion that led to a doomed attempt to escape the greatest country on earth. But if it was the North that changed, ought our primary focus in understanding American history to be on why and how the North changed during the prewar period?”
